We have recently booked our dream DVC trip for next May. DH, myself, our DD who will be age 4 and DS who will be 9 months and my parents. We have 4 nights at VB followed by 11 nights at BCV. Cannot wait! All this info on VB is getting me even more excited about our trip.

We fly from England. VB is the first part of our trip. Should we still fly into MCO?

Yes MCO is correct. But take Route 1 south instead of 95 or A1A. It is a much, much more pleasant drive and just a bit longer than taking 95 (major interstate highway). The Internet mapping sites will try to send you down 95.

We first stayed at VB the year it opened. By accident we were at the Grand Opening. It was great. I love that resort. Quiet, relaxing (or not you choose). This past March we took my Mom with us for a week. Her sister lives nearby and we visited my aunt several times.
We loved it. Lots to do (or not). Lovely resort. Nice restaurants. Lots to do both at the resort and nearby. And if I take my mother again I need to bring an empty suitcase for all the used books she buys at the local bookstore!
