We are thinking of going to Vero Beach this summer. We have two children DD7 and DS2.

A couple of questions:
- It seems there are a lot of activities especially for my daughter, but not so sure about my little guy. Anyone take a toddler and what kinds of things (besides beaching it) did you do?

- How expensive is the food on property?

- Do they have a character breakfast?

- Any other info that you think would help us plan would be really appreciated!

We were there in June with 3 DGC, DGD's were 3 and 5, and DGS was 4. All of them loved the slide, the slide races and craft activities.

There was a pirate treasure hunt in the main lobby, an afternoon tea...there were some younger siblings of children who were of the given age to attend. Parents stayed and I think they got some juice/cookies as well.

We never "got" to the mini golf.

The 3 year old especially loved finding all of the bunnies.

There is a pirate ship that's lots of fun for the younger children. It includes a rope net ladder and a slide and water cannons.

We had the DDE card and so our meals were discounted. We usually find something on site to satisfy. We did have groceries from Publix and had a few meals in the villas. There's a pretty good Pizza restaurant, Orchid something that's just across a side street from the Vero Beach resort.

There's a nature center that's pretty close to the resort and there were hands on activities for the kids. We never made it there either. DH and I had visited it a few years ago.
