Has anyone tried this? I promised my 15 yo dd that she could do it on this trip.
My daughter did the surf school this past Wednesday and loved it. Sign up was at Eb and Flo's in advance. MaryAnn escorted the group by van to the Fort Pierce Inlet State Park where they met the surf school instructors. They met in the lobby at 8:45 am and returned at approx. 12:15. Cost was $90 for members and $95 for nonmembers. It is for ages 10 and up. I would say that it was a mixed group - a few 10-12 year olds, several teens, and a few adults for a total of about 15 people. When asked, they said they would not get into the water until about 10:30 if anyone wanted to view the surfers. (by driving down separately) Transportation and snacks were provided but onlookers had to provide their own. Also, wetsuits were provided.
