We booked Disney's Vero Beach Resort for 3 nights/4 days after our 6 night/7 day stay at Coronado Springs Resort in August. We went to Daytona last year after our WDW stay but didn't like how commercialized it was (or should I say how race fan/college spring break friendly it was). The cars, atv's and golf carts on the beach drove us nuts. We're ready for some quiet beach time at Vero Beach. So who has been there and what should we look forward to? And is there anything to recommend for my DD6 and my DW and I to do in the area? Any great seafood restaurants nearby? Thanks in advance!

We went to the Vero beach resort in March 2001 just for the day while we were at CBR for 10 days. We loved it and have now booked the last 3 days of our spring break this March at Vero. The pool was beautiful with a very big "lighthouse" themed waterslide that my kids loved (their ages were 2, 6, and 10 at that time). There was a mini golf area next to the pool and a couple restaurants, one was poolside and the food was pretty good, a little high priced but what isn't when you're on vacation! The resort is all along the beach and the beach was very clean and beautiful. The whole setting was very family oriented, relaxing, and beautiful. There were a lot of activities for the kids to do for guests who stayed there. We're really looking forward to it this time. I hope some of this info helps. I don't think you'll regret it if you stay there.
