We are NOT DVC owners....boo hoo!! We are traveling to Disney's Vero Beach resort for 3 days before our WDW trip. I checked the Disney WEb site and it has changed since last year. I liked the old site better. Can anyone tell me about the recreation activities for a13 year old? I know they used to list them specifically but now they don't. CAn anyone tell us about the restuarnats? We will also have our DS who is in a wheelchair. Does anyone know if they have Beach wheelchairs?? Are there anyother great websites we are missing that may expalin the resort better. Thanks in advance.

We just got back and you will find that the staff there is incredible.

I actually saw a young man in a wheelchair at the resort. I am not sure if he was on the beach, but, the ramp to the beach is certainly wheelchair accessable.

Sorry, forgot about the restaurants. They have 5 (I guess):

1) Shutters: Casual dining (with Character Breakfast on Saturdays). (Note - order the Conch Fritters!)

2) Sonya's: Upscale dining

3) Green Room: Bar with food service.

4) Pool Side Bar / Food Service:

5) In Room Dining

We went to Shutters (very good - good prices / good food), the Green Room, Pool Side Bar.

Plus, the Hotel has a list of menus for nearby restaurants in the lobby.

Thank you so much for the info. We were not planning on bringing "dressy" clothing to WDW. Can we wear shorts and polo type shirts to Sonya's or do we need sundress etc? Thank you so much for the info. Ia m sure DD will have a great time!!! We are also taking DS who is 14 and the newest DD who will be 13 months.!!! I can't wait!!

I am not sure the dress code for Sonya's. You may want to call and ask. Regardless - I did not see anyone in dressy clothes. Just upscale casual clothes (shorts, shirts, etc.). It is a resort - I am certain shorts will be ok.

Also, if you read my other post today - you will not get over how nice the Castmembers are. They made our visit to VB.
