Vero Beach Pool Closed Jan-Feb 07???

Hello.
Has anyone else heard that the pool at Vero Beach will be closed January and February 2007? I read this somewhere and am hoping that it is not true. Anyone have any information on this?

Is this true? We live in the area and like to go there occasionally on weekends. If the pool will be closed, I wouldn't bother going during that timeframe, though.

Just got off the phone with VB. Sorry to report that they ARE scheduled to begin refurbishing the slide on 1/7, then the prominade area, then the pool. Plans are to be completed mid February. Guess they have to do it some time and that is certainly the coldest month.

Yes, we had a trip planned there before our WDW trip for 1/6-1/9. I received a letter from DVC regarding this so I called the resort directly and confirmed what has been posted above. I specifically asked if the pool would be closed the entire time and they stated that from 1/7 through mid Feb there would be no pool access for guests. We opted to extend our WDW trip (my preference!)
