Hi Everyone !!! My DH and I are booked on a 5 night Disney Dream cruise at the end of May next year :banana:. I have already booked 3 nights before the cruise at the Boardwalk Villas. I am trying to decide if we should spend one night after the cruise at either Vero Beach or maybe WDW but stay someplace other than the Boardwalk (Maybe Grand Floridian). We just want to relax before we fly home. We tried Vero this past May for a couple of night and it was nice but I just don't know if it is worth just one night there by the time we check in and then have to leave the next morning. Please help me decide what to do !!!!:banana::banana: Thanks everyone !!!!!!

I love VB, but I would go to WDW for the night after the cruise. VB is quite a ways south and if you're going to be flying out of MCO anyway, I think that would be too much extra driving for a 1 night stay.

Thanks Bobbi !!!!! I didn't even think about the driving. I knew that VB is about 2 hours from MCO airport but I did not even consider the drive from Port Canaveral to VB and then to pack up the next day to leave is a lot of driving for hubby in a 24 hr span. Maybe we should pick a resort that we have not stayed at yet - like OKW or SSR. This is why I love asking questions on this board !!!! I would have never thought of the driving time. :cool1::cool1: Thanks again !!!!!!:banana:

I know that it is not Vero, which we love, or WDW but we stayed an extra night at Port Carnaval and spent a day at the Kennedy Space center and had a great time. It is a lot closer and our kids loved it.

We just took a Disney Cruise last week and spent the night before the cruise at the Best Western in Cocoa Beach..

http://www.bestwesterncocoabeach.com/

The hotel is only 10 mins from the cruise terminal..

It's not quite Disney, but..
1) They have nice pools
2) Have Ocean view rooms and Ocean Access
3) Are right next to Cocoa Beach's Seaside Pier..
4) Have a reasonable rate.. (We paid $89/night for two twin beds)

Also, not sure if its possible since you already booked your stay before the cruise, but they have a "Park & Cruise" option that may save you some money parking your car while you're cruising..

I'm with Bobbi on this. You want to be close to MCO if that is where will be leaving from. VB and KSC are far enough away that risk of delay is much greater.

Have a Great time.....

We always stay at one of the WDW Resorts the night after our cruise. We are then able to enjoy one of Disney's restaurants like CA Grill etc. I highly recommend it.
