Vero Beach-Miami

Hi,
We are thinking about a day trip to Miami when we stay at VB next month. Any opinions on wether this is practical and if so where in Miami should we go and where should we eat?
Any tips most welcome.

It's about 150 miles each way, so you are looking at 2-3 hours each way.

We were thinking about doing that when we went the beginning of the month but we were so relaxed at Vero we barely did anything but the pool and beach!! Have a great trip!

I suppose if you like the nightlife it might be interesting, but for me Miami doesn't offer any better ocean fun and it is much more crowded with 90% hot bodies.... no, I don't belong there.
