Vero Beach--June--7 Months

My home resort is Boardwalk Villas. We are thinking about going to Vero Beach for two nights. A 1 bedroom for Sunday June 10, and Monday June 11, 2007. We would make this reservation at the 7 month window.

Anybody have experience at booking the 2nd. week of June at the 7 month window? What are my chances?

I was also curious about the availability of Vero Beach in June - booking at 7 months. We would likely be looking the second half of June. Will we likely have to waitlist? We would be needing a 1 or 2 bedroom. We hoped to combine it with a short trip to WDW. I will likely book the entire time at WDW at 11 months - then see what is available at Vero??

One bedrooms are not that difficult to come by but the two bedroom are
a different story. We always book for june, July, or August at the 7 month window and this past year I wasn't paying attention to the dates and didn't book until 6 months. We now has ressies for a one bedroom instead of the two. We waitlisted for the 2 but nothing came thru. My boys atre besides themselves. They had become accustomed to having their "man suite". Not this year they will have the "man sleeper sofa".

We just joined DVC last month and I really, really, really wanted to use some of the points to go to the beach. We specifically purchased enough for two trips to Disney and one to either Hilton Head or Vero each summer. I knew, however, that I would be trying to book really, really late.

The second week of June I called and asked for anything that was open at Hilton Head (which is closer to us) and all that was open were a few 2 bedrooms for various single days on weekends. Vero Beach had a 1 bedroom the third week of June (which was too short notice), and a good bit of weekends open. I was able to get the studio I wanted for the first two weekdays in August.

Next year, I don't anticipate problems booking at 7 months - but I also will never need a specific day - just anything open in June.

So, would getting 2 nights (specific dates) in early-mid June be a problem - we want a deluxe inn room w/ garden view.
