Vero Beach in March 07 Weather? - Crowds?

Completed next trip confirmations!

Just got off the phone with MS and we’re set with plans for next March 24-30 - 6 nights of DVC Yea!

Taking DMIL-FIL and DBIL and DSIL to Vero Beach for 4 nights (3 Garden Inn Rooms Sat-Tues), then our family, DMIL, and DFIL are checking into the Boardwalk for 2 nights (Std 2BR villa Wed-Thr).

Hope the Hurricanes stay away from Vero between now and end of season, heck stay away for a long, long, time. Has anyone been to Vero at the end of March, how are the crowds, weather??

Even though your dates are in the peak season, it probably won't seem overly crowded. I go every year during this time (this year it's the same dates as you), and aside from having to make dining ressies (usually the day of), I don't notice huge crowds. It's a small and wonderful resort. The weather will more than likely be perfect. I can't wait to get on the balcony of my Ocean view inn room!

Candace since you're a veteran of this time of year and of the resort, what are some other popular dining options besides Sonyas and Shutters?

I also enjoy Captain Hiram's, especially sitting on the back side over the water and they have live music of some sort every night; the Patio (restaurant) is good - it's downtown and the outside doesn't look like much, but it has good food. I also tried Squid Lips for the first time last March and enjoyed it. It's on the same road as Captain Hiram's - my memory fails me for the name of the road, but it runs right along side of Indian River. Ocean Grille and Black Pearl come highly recommended, but I have not tried either one. Maybe I will on this next trip!
