I am planning an anniversary trip to Vero Beach in the first week of December.

Has anyone ever been to VB in December? Was it enjoyable, was the pool open, was the sun warm, was it crowded?

Several questions. I've done WDW at Christmas, so I believe this might be similar, but I'm just trying to finalize my plans.

Thanks!

don't know answers to specifics, but winter is high season in vero beach.

I go in January, last year no one was in the ocean whenever I thought to look, air was chilly, so I avoided the pool, my friend did go in the pool quite a bit, but the hot tub was perfect!:thumbsup2. We're going again Jan 10 - 14!:thumbsup2

What is there to do all day if it is too chilly to lay by the pool?
Trying to convince my DH to go for a couple nights in mid October but he is afraid we will be stuck in the room if not a good pool day.
Thanks!

The very first time we went to Vero Beach it was in October. The water was still warm enough to wade in. There was no one on the beach. The weather was very warm. The pool was decorated for Halloween. It was love at first site.

There's the historic jungle trail bike path leading to the Pelican Island NWR, we take the car to it, but do ride along the bike path for a lesser ride. I go either with a DGF or DH, and we've never been bored, but we do go off site to places like Ft. Pierce's Manatee Center, or take boat trips with the nearby Environmental Learning Center. There's a 9 hole mini golf on site. Walks on the beach, some activity like origami, bubbles!, there are activities, low keyed and relaxing. There is a fitness center that my friend used every day.
