Vero Beach...how is it?

So I'm thinking of a post-Christmas trip to Vero Beach, but I've never been. How is the weather that time of year? Is it warm enough to swim in the ocean? How is the resort? And I can't find this online...is there a highchair in the villas? Thanks guys!
