Indian River Club is an absolute "must"! It's a private club for which the VB front desk will make your tee time. There's a wonderful veranda for lunch and a cold beverage afterwards. Here's the website: http://www.indianriverclub.com/fw/main/Home-1.html

Wow that course looks nice Brad, do you remember how much it cost. Was there a lot of availability?

It's been a few years, but I seem to remember it in the $50 - $60 range. I'm sure you can contact VB front desk ahead of time to get a price.

As to availability, because it's off-season and a private club, we were one of the few actually on the course. I thought I saw that you were going in a few weeks, so I'd suggest either early in the day or twilight, though, just due to the heat - regardless of where you play!

I think someone mentioned in a prior VB golf discussion that Indian River Club is closed for the summer because they're redoing the greens.

That would be a shame for EAP's dad. It's been at least two years, maybe three, that I last played it. If they were to re-do greens, though, this would be the time they probably would in FL to minmize disruption to members during the winter.
