Vero Beach Good Eats!

First trip to Vero Beach in August and we were hoping to get some advice

about the meals. Will we need ADR's to eat at Shutter's for

breakfast, lunch, or dinner? What are the best places to eat in the area with

a DD7? I looked into the charater meals but not on the days we will be there

We are so looking forward to the trip and were hoping to get info

about the meals! Any help would be very much appreciated! Thanks

Someone on the boards recommended Captain Hirams, Sebastian!

During our June trip, we went to Capt. Hiram's. They had wonderful seafood! I took some pictures of the food, and they're on post #707 in this thread:

The breakfast at Shutters is very good, but a little on the expensive side. If you're a fan of Tonga Toast, they now offer it. According to my DH, they also have great corned beef hash that they make fresh each morning.

We've also had good luck with Mr. Manatee's, although I've heard it can be hit or miss. It's nothing compared to Capt. Hiram's, which was awesome!

Captain Hiram's was great, so was Squid Lips (down the street from Cpt. Hiram's)... while the food at Ocean Grill was good, it was a little expensive for us. Shutters on property had great food. We did dinner one night, and the character breakfast on Saturday, which is served family-style.

Capt Hirams is great - good food and great location. Another one is Mulligans which is (i think) opposite Ocean Grill. Great food and cocktails!

It's been a few years since we have been to Vero, but Captain Hiram's was one of our favorite places to eat . It was a casual atmosphere and very tasty food .
