Vero Beach ? for mid Sept

We'll be at WDW in Sept, 2012, and would like to try VB for 2 nts. The days that work best with our schedule would be Sept 15-16, Sat-Sun. What will the crowds be like then, both at the resort, and the restaurants nearby? We know that crowds in Sept will be less than the summer months, but are worried since this is a week-end. We would imagine that a lot of FL residents like to go to the beach areas on the week-ends.

We're hoping to book 2 OV rms at 7 mos. We would greatly appreciate any comments & advice that people have concerning VB at this time of the year, especially on the week-end.

We have been there a few different times in Sept. and think it is a great time to go. We did not have a difficult time getting an ov room either time we booked at the 7 month mark. There are typically afternoon thunderstorms there during that time of the year, but they usually don't last too long. I HIGHLY suggest trying out the Lemon Tree restaurant. It is fantastic!

goldenears, were you there on a week-end, or during the week? We're thinking that mid-week things should be slow. However, we're concerned about how crowded the week-end might be. Not just at the resort, but around the Vero Beach area.
