Vero Beach during the winter months

What's the weather like at Vero Beach during the winter months, Jan., Feb. or March. We love to travel to warmer weather during these months and get away from our cold months here in Maryland. Is it good beach weather or should we wait and go during the month of June.

We went the first week of Feb. 2009 and we had great weather. We didn't go in the water, but we walked along the beach. The pool was very nice. It was in the low 80's and hardly any rain and very welcome during a Chicago winter.

Same.... We go during Pres Week (for 6 years now)... the weather averages in the mid to high 70's (coldest day was about 52 and warmest 85) and dry and beautiful!!!!! Like the Chi town poster it is a WONDERFUL escape from the terrible northeast winter!


Oooops did I say all that! The weather is cold, it snows and you wont like it!!! (now I have a better chance at my ressie! )

February-March are the prime seasons for Vero Beach and most of Florida. January can also be very nice but until mid-February you run the risk of rollercoaster weather -- cold days mixed with glorious days. The water off Vero never gets REALLY cold. Disney is what has made Vero a popular summer spot -- in pre-Disney years you wouldn't have found many people going to Vero in the summer!

Hi Maryland neighbor!!! We live in MD and one day we too want to try Vero out. This Dec. we are venturing down to HHI for 5 nights the week of New Year's Eve. IT will be out first time there too.

This past President's week, we vacationed at Vero. Air Temps were in the upper 60's, low 70s, water temp 63. (That's unfortunately warmer than the Atlantic on Cape Cod in the summertime ) I didn't go in the ocean, but we spent a few afternoons on the beach. I did enjoy the pool. We had a terrific OVIR on the 4th floor and really liked our time at Vero. We ate at Squid Lips, Cptn Hirams, visited McKee Botanical Gardens, and one of Mel Fisher's Treasure Museums. Highly recommend the winetasting with Mary Anne at Vero.

Ok guys, so the temps in the winter can go up and down, we love spending lots of time on the beach, so when is the best time of year to visit Vero in order to have the best beach weather?
