Vero Beach directions needed

Our son & his family leave for WDW in just 6 days, and then will be driving to Vero Beach. What is the best route to take, and why? Which route should they not take, and why? (Maps don't always show the complete picture, so I'm hoping for some good advice to guide them in the right direction.)

Also, it would be great to get some ideas for places to eat, especially some good seafood. Any suggestions? Thanks!

If they are coming from Orlando airport..........it is about 98 miles to the resort...about an hour and 20 minute drive.

Take the Beeline (528 east) toll road east to I-95 South.

Follow I-95 South to 512 East - exit 156 Sebastian/Fellsmere.

Turn left/east on 512 to US 1 (6.5 miles).
Turn right/south on US 1 to 510 (4.5 miles).
Turn left/east on 510 to A-1-A (2.5 miles).
Turn right on A-1-A.
The Resort is immediately on the left.

Captain Hirams on US 1 about 3-4 miles north of the resort has a nice atmosphere and is right on the water(Indian River).

They will be coming from WDW, staying the night before at Pop, and after leaving Vero Beach, will be going to SSR for their last night. Which route would be best, from & back to WDW?

From WDW to Vero Beach...
Take 536 East to 417 North...to 528 East to I-95 South.....then the same directions from the post above from I-95.

Thanks! None of us has ever been to VB, and I wanted to get us much info as possible for them. This will be our grandson's 1st visit to the ocean, and his sister's third. Although, she was only 2 1/2 when we were in California, and even younger when we were at Daytona Beach. I'm sure she doesn't remember either.
