Vero Beach Character Meal

I have heard that there is a character meal at VB can anyone please tell me if it is fun and of course a good meal.
What day is the character meal

I'm also curious about this too, but for next summer - July. Isn't it on two mornings during the summer? Can you make advance PSs and if so how far out? Who do you call?
Just Goofy and Max?
Buffet? How much?
Someone give us a 101?!?

I want to say that the character breakfast is on Saturday mornings at Shutters. I might wrong though.

It is not served buffet style, but instead has a fixed menu with all of the normal stuff... Pancakes, waffles, eggs, fruit, coffee, juice, and etc.

The characters are Goofy and Max.

You can make PSing... Last November, we didn't make the call though until we were onsite.

We got there fairly early and my DS loved it... Both Goofy and Max spent a fair amount of time at our table posing in pictures and playing with my son.

We all had a great time...

Is the meal one plate of food per person or can you order as much as you want and how much is it.

. . . for the character breakfast at Shutters. Sorry, but we paid about $50.00 for two adults and two children and I found it very disappointing. Perhaps if it's your only opportunity to do a Disney character meal anywhere, it would be okay. However, there was only Max and Goofy. The food was cold and mediocre at best and while the characters did appear to stay at some tables a fair amount of time, we got barely any time at all (That part was okay. We've done them at WDW.) Yes, it's a fixed plate of food. You can order more but it just wasn't worth it. If you have no other options in terms of waiting to do it at WDW, the by all means don't miss it. But if you can go to Cape May Cafe at The Beach Club, for instance, don't waste your money at Shutters.

Shutters is great otherwise. The staff is exceedingly friendly, food good and it's got a great atmosphere for families . . . noisy enough that you're not Shhhh the kids and quiet enough to be relaxing.

VB is a great resort. We loved it and our first trip "home."

We did the character breakfast at Shutters this past June. It was on a Wednesday. We didn't have PS, we didn't even know about it until that morning when they put the flier under the door with the daily activities.. We went down right before breakfast was over and asked it we could still get breakfast. There were only a few families there. It was Goofy and Max as others have stated which made my 6 year old son happy since he likes The Goofy Movie and The Goof Troop (is that what it's called?) with Max in it. Max and Goofy spent a lot of time at our table. Maybe it was because there weren't many people there, maybe we were lucky. Goofy actually pulled up a chair and played Tic-tac-toe with my son for at least 5 minutes or so. And they both were playing with my 1 1/2 year old daughter. Drawing pictures with her, etc..
Our server was wonderful too. Actually all of the servers were great (we ate at Shutters 3 times in our 2 nights there.) I even commented how friendly at the time to my wife. They reminded me of how ALL the servers used to be at Disney World many years back.

I am sorry, I dont' remember the price, but I think it was around 40.00 (baby shared mom's plate.) The food was all you could eat, but served at the table. The food seemed ok to me. I am not a breakfast person, so I am not excited by breakfast foods no matter how good they are, but the food seemed decent here. They had Eggs, sausage, Bacon (I think) and this really good cheesy hashbrown thing. The kids got Mickey Waffles which were ok. We would definately do it again, not so much for the food, but because the kids really loved it.
