Hi! We are planning our first trip to Vero Beach in September. I am having trouble finding information about the Saturday Character Breakfast. Could anyone please tell me: 1. How much is it? 2. Is it worth it in your opinion? 3. Do you have to make advanced reservations like you to at WDW?

Thank you so much for your help!:thumbsup2

Here's a link that hopefully will answer most of your questions:

1. How much is it? We did Goofy's Beachfront Breakfast on Saturday, January 8, and it was $16.99 per adult (not sure about a kid price, as the only one we had was under 3 so she was free), plus tax and tip of course.

2. Is it worth it in your opinion? Absolutely, in our opinion. It was January so your experience in September may be different, but we had 8 a.m. reservations and there was only 1 other table full in the whole place. Goofy and Donald were so lonely and bored that they spent a huge amount of time with our granddaughter, and she was able to play and interact with them quite a bit. They even each came back a second time! I'm sure timing can make a difference, and it may have been busier later in the day, but we had the place to ourselves and it was great!

3. Do you have to make advanced reservations like you do at WDW? They say reservations are recommended, and we did make them, but, as I said, in our case it wasn't really necessary. If we did it again, though, I would still make reservations just to be safe.

Have a great trip! And I would definitely recommend checking out the Sunday brunch if you can as well. The selection, quality, and quantity of the food was fabulous. We will definitely be repeating this every chance we get. A very gourmet spread and I think it was still only $19.99 per person which I thought was a good value; it even included your choice of champagne, mimosa, or bloody Mary. :thumbsup2

A couple of questions for anyone who has done this breakfast recently: which characters are available besides Goofy? I've seen info saying that Donald is there, and on another site they said Goofy's son, Max, was the only other character besides Goofy. Are there only two characters, btw?

Thanks!

I think it's Donald and Goofy, and we're going in June. I made reservations about a month before the date we're going.

It is (as of Feb '11) Goofy and Donald. In recent years, it had been Goofy and Max. And yes, 2 characters.

Do I need to call the resort directly or WDW dining? I am thinking it is probably the resort - correct?

the thing about character meals at vero is you don't get a lot of quantity (in # of characters) but you get a whole lot of quality (in terms of interaction). No drive-bys at vero. When Goofy and Donald make the trip over there, they kick back and enjoy their stay.

Last summer we made reservations when we arrived at the resort for both the character breakfast and the pirate dinner. Both featured Donald and Goofy. I agree with PP that we got A LOT of time with the characters. They seemed to come back again and again. The restaurant is pretty small. The food was yummy.

It's awesome that there's so much character interaction - thanks for the info. BTW, does anyone know if the pirate dinner is still a summer-only offering?
