We're spending a weekend at Vero Beach in Sept. for the first time. We live in FL so we go to Clearwater a lot. They allow you to bring your own umbrellas etc. so we have two "cabanas"...that's not really the right word, but they're little things you set up so you can fit one lounge chair in each. Kind of like little half tents. We also have inflatable floats. Are these things allowed at Vero or do we have to rent the umbrellas and chairs they provide? Thanks for any info. as we are totally new to this.

I spent a week in VB in July. You can definitely take your own chairs/cabanas to the beach. You won't need them at the pool area, there is plenty of room.

We were given two small boogie boards on one of our first days there, and we passed them on to another family at the end of the trip. We also passed on the sand toys that we bought at Walmart, because we were not going to fly those back home.

Have fun at Mickey's Beach House!!!:cool2:

I bought a 10X10 First Up Gazebo. I installed it at the south end, after the umbrellas and left it there for the 5 days we were there. it was AWESOME... You can see it on top of the hill..

Absolutely, bring whatever you want. You will save much money. The beach does not belong to Disney or anyone for that matter and they have no say what you can bring to the beach.

As a point of knowledge. ALL the coastal beaches in the U.S. are public domain between the ebb and flow of the ocean. This means as far as the ocean water reaches up on the beach at the highest tide is public domain, as well as the furthest it out it goes in low tide.
