VERO BEACH- Are there 'LOUDER' spring break weeks that 'old fogies' should avoid?

Hi! Does VB become invaded with 'spring breakers' at certain times?

There was a time we would have been part of that scene, but those days are long gone & we look forward to a real Disney experience for our first trip to VB next spring.

I think by it's nature, Vero Beach does not get the louder spring break crowd. The resort itself is in a quiet area surrounded by mostly homes and condos. We just got home Friday, and while there were more younger people there than usual, they seemed to be there to enjoy the beach, pool and sun. It was quiet and they were just enjoying themselves. No noise at all, and our room was toward the lobby.

The beach in the center of Vero is also surrounded by home and condos, with few motels/hotels, and generally not the type of area tha would attract spring breakers wanting to see a lot of action. Great shops and restaurants, but generally more upscale.

Outside of the resort being fuller than usual, it was great and still very laid back and relaxing.

Well, that is good news...we had a TERRIBLE experience at St. Pete's Beach in an upscale (but non-Disney) resort a few yrs ago... And have even had a problem at my beloved POLY. I prefer to spend the week drinking beer rather than having it poured on my head from the balcony above!:lmao:

I don't have an answer for you but just thought your thread is hilarious! DH and I are still pretty young but I find myself getting annoyed at "those $%# kids" more and more often at hotels nowadays. Can't they party quietly? :lmao:

My spring breaks are always around March 19th, and we've never noticed a noisy problem at VB whenever we go there during that time.

You sound like us-I had to laugh at this thread because we live less than an hour from South Padre Island, one of the wildest spring break locations in the country (per the Travel Channel's Survey). If you ever go to HHI during spring break, that island is NOTHING like SPI. Our first trip there during spring break, after we made our reservations I had nightmares, knowing what it's like around here. But HHI is so quiet, as I should have expected. But I can really relate to your fear!

Yes, when the converts arrive :rotfl2:

...but we're so old (how old are you?) that we don't make it for spring break until the fall!

As others have said, DVB really doesn't lend itself a 'daytona' scene. If you've never been, I'll bet you'll have a great time!

ok....I'm feeling better. :flower3:

How old are we? hmmm....not sure how to 'fess up without upsetting DH ;)

Let's just say we are proud Boomers who still cherish our huge collection of vinyl records (including lots of early Disney, of course) :hippie:

Have never had a problem with spring breakers at Vero after 15 years of going there in March...This is our first March trip to HH (we usually go the first week in June) and the Spring Breakers have been a problem....love the weather and crowds, but we will probably stick with June.

At Vero right now sitting on balcony overlooking the ocean:cool1::)

Resort is busy, pool is busy and beach is never busy, only with us Canadians in the water. Everyone is well behaved like every trip to Vero we have had. The resort is so far removed from the town, maybe the beaches directly in Vero might be busier, but can't see that happening here.
