We would like as much info on Vero Beach Disney property for our vacation plans April 2008. Using the Disney reservation system the best rate we got was AAA. However, they mentioned a discounted rate to add-on Vero if we stay at least one night at a resort in Disneyworld Still works out to ~2800 for a 2 BR Villa.

Questions:

1) Family of 5 (myself DH, DS10, DD9, DS4) - do we really need to book a 2 BR? Since my mother lives in Vero, any given night 1 of the kids might stay with her - so we would be only 4 most nights Difference in price is $100/night. Could we book a 1 BR?

2) How can we reserve by buying someone elses points?

have stayed at Vero once...can't help you on the number of rooms as we have no kids so don't know how that would work for you....would you be in the room much? We found AAA was the best we could do at that time.
We rented points from a dis'er for another trip, it was very easy ..check out the DVC rent/trade section on this board. Generally they make the reservation for you and you pay often times I think through paypal or similar directly to the DVC owner. ..have fun!

I would spend the extra $100 a night. The one BR has a king bed in the bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room. The extra room to spread out will be worth the cost. Plus that way the kids will have thier own bed--not having to listen to them argue about being kicked is worth it's weight in gold.

That is exactly why we always get a 2 bedroom for our family of 4!!
