Vero around Thanksgiving

Hi thinking about giving Vero Beach a try the week before Thanksgiving. Wondering how other families experiences have been this time of year especially with the ocean. We love the beach. I know I can research average temps and ocean temps ect... But I want to hear first hand how families have made out with their trips during that time period. Thanks in advance for any advice or input!!

I went to Vero Beach the week of Thanksgiving two years ago and Loved it. We were not DVC yet but got a wonderful room. It is such a wonderful location. So laid back! We got so lucky and had gorgeous weather. We spent most of our time outside. We enjoyed the pool, the beach, the ocean, my son and husband went on an excursion to go fishing. We also enjoyed the atmosphere and just played sports with the kids. You guys will love it if you are looking for a relaxing vacation. I can tell you though that I live in FL and weather can be hit or miss this time of year. But more than likely it will still be on the warmer side.

Thanks for the info sunryzez. We were back and forth with what we wanted to do this fall and your experience sounds exactly like what I was looking for. However I was persuaded by my family to give a short Disney Cruise a try this year but next fall Vero is still on my radar!!

We had one of the cooler times several years ago, but still enjoyed the trip. It was warm enough for the pool, but the ocean was pretty cold - I dint think we made it in past our knees that trip.
