Vermont DISers!

I am not from VT, but I wanted to say that its such a gorgeous state.. I can def. see myself live up there.. :surfweb:

Hi there
We 're from central Vermont home of Norwich University
We're headed down next month !!!!!!! :thumbsup2

Of course you may...but first you must survive "mud season"
A lot of the back roads in the towns are dirt.So every spring the frost leaves the roads become deep ,sloppy mud.A challange every year.We say in Vermont we have 5 seasons...sumer,fall,winter,spring and mud. :rotfl:

I'm so glad to see other Vermont DISsers!!!! I went to Home Depot today and looked at a full slot of Lime Green Mickey Heads and wondered if I was the only one that has ransacked their supply. :lmao:

My hubby is from Vermont! We now live in VA, but looking to move back there. His father and stepmother live in Sharon and have a store in Woodstock.

Oh how I miss VT. I lived in upstate NY and now live in Charlotte NC, I miss the wonderful snowboarding at Jay Peak. Hands down the best glade skiing in the east. I still fly into Burlington VT when I visit home. Although I don't miss my job working for the local news, I liked the people but had enough of the job!!!

Woodstock is beautiful, especially in the fall with the changing colors.

Burlington is just about 10 miles from us. As for Jay Peak, it is beautiful! My nephew bought a condo there and I don't think he ever likes coming off the mountain!

Well Kinda

I love the fact taht as you drive through the Green mountians they have not all been developed like the White mountains have :sad2:

We camp up in Burlinton and I was born and raised on the other side of hte river in the Keen Nh area. Still have allot of friends in Brat.

Hey I know mud season too that comes just a little befor eand sometimes during blackfly season dosn't it?

 from your New Hampshire neighbor

As an honorary Vermonter, I'm ready to make some syrup.

When do I need to be there?

Well if you want to be here for the Maple Syrup making season you need to be here to start gathering the syrup in March. Sometimes the early sap starts to flow in late February. The season can run as late as late April. If you come now you're starting in the apple picking season. Lots of apple festivals going on and harvest dinners etc.

Of course you are always welcome to VT. We're a pretty friendly bunch up here! :grouphug:

Hello again my Vermont friends. Does anyone have a trip planned for 07? We'll be down in early March, and I would love to run into some fellow Snow Bunnies! When we were at Disney in October there were some fellow Vermonters there that happen to live about 10 minutes from us. They were staying in the same resort. What a small world after all!

Hi
Small world indeed. We too were at WDW in Oct.Now we're booked for the first week of March.Have to take advantge of Town Meeting Day and no school. We haven't settled on a resort yet.It depends on the AP rate.

Hello fellow Vermonters!!! I am from South Burlington.
This is pretty cool.
I am planning a trip for my mom and adult sister in Dec 2007.
My family and I ( of us) will not be able to go again until 2010. UUUGGGHHH!!!
According to my friends, they don't think I will get past July 2007. We'll see!!!

We will be there Feb. 24-March 4 we will be staying at POFQ.
