Verizon Wireless billing vent

Has anyone else had problems with Verizon's billing lately? A couple months ago, I paid my bill then got a message saying they had made an error and over charged me. Cool! So, I got back a check from them for $112. Then, a couple weeks later, I got a past due bill for $112. Ok, sent it back in along with last months's payment so I was paid in full. Now, I get a paper bill with a past due amt plus this month's fees, but when I look online, it says my balance due is only $20? My last payment was 3 weeks ago, plenty of time to be on this bill. I am so confused, none of these numbers for our 3 phones add up! I think they purposely send you a 7 page bill so you can't tell what the heck you are paying for!

We don't use Verizon, but our Sprint bill has been wonky. They removed our data plan (we have Palm Centros) and we had about $200 in data usage. Then they removed the mobile to mobile ($5 a month) which made MOST of our calls not free.

My Best Friend is on Sprint and they billed her for a bunch of ringtones she didn't get...

I think sometimes they try to see what they can sneak past you

From time to time my Verizon bill is a little off and I call them and it usually gets corrected the first time. Never trust the bills they send you.

I've never gotten a 7 page bill from Verizon Wireless, so I'm not quite sure why yours is so long.:confused3 My bill is 2 pages every month, but I only have 1 phone on it. It has been fine for the past couple of years - same amount within a couple of cents.

It's funny you posted this because I just added calling Verizon to my list of things to do today. Last night I noticed we were over for this month, and the hubby and I have almost 300 combined minutes used up on #777-000-0001, which is a "data" number. We NEVER use internet, get it now, ringtones or anything like that. We do sometimes send each other pic messages, but no way we send that many!
Anyway, long story short (too long) I googled it and found a ton of other people with the same issue. I called verizon and was put on hold a few times, repeated the same thing over and over (basically that he knew nothing, but could switch me to a nationwide calling plan) and finally got disconnected after the third or fourth hold
So, yeah, to answer your question, I DO have issues with verizon billing

We have our Verizon wireless, landline and internet all bundled together. The wireless portion of our last bill was fine, but I had a $14.99 charge to our internet for some unlimited gaming package I hadn't ordered.

When I called the customer service number I told the operator what was going on. She said, "yep, I had that on my bill this month too. Thanks for reminding me to call about it." :rotfl: I eventually spoke with Raj who I'm sure was in India and I hope he took it off my bill. We'll see next month.

Watch out for AT & T as well. We have 3 phones with one having unlimited internet, for the past 4 months our bill has been crazy so of course we look over it and it was all internet charges. Each person I spoke with was suppose to fix it, so thought it was fixed, next month same problem and this kept going on for about 4 months. This month I finally think they got the bill correct. I think what really bothers me is the time that was spent making the calls and the length of time to get this straight when they had records of the problem from the previous month and just to sit there and go over the whole problem all over again.

We have Verizon for our cell phones. A few months ago we went over our minutes for the month by a few minutes, so I carefully looked at every call charged to our phones. Both our phones had #000-000-0086. Turns out this is the number that comes up when you check your voice mail. When you check your voice mail during the day it is a charged call. I have never noticed this before. I don't know if I never noticed it or if Verizon changed their policy. The minutes add up quickly!

You guys scare me. I'm glad I use a prepaid service!

I have had a few problems in the past, but have had them quickly and kindly resolved with Verizon.

From your post, it sounds like you have not called them yet. Take a few minutes and speak to a person to get it resolved. Going back and forth through the mail/bill is not working.
