Anybody know if the packages are similar in price and quality? Comcast is pushing hard to get us to go to their premier plan. That includes a whole lot more channels than we currently get, increased web bandwidth, and telephone service.
FIOS does all that too, but isn't in my neighborhood yet. In fact, someone from Verizon called me today to ask me to upgrade to DSL - I don't need it as as I have Comcast. I asked them about when we would be getting FIOS. He didn't know. I do know that the town next to me has it.
I want to wait and see what FIOS offers, but Comcast is looking like a winner vs. what we pay now for TV, phone, internet.... and they will guarantee no price increases for 2 years.
I was thinking that I was going to wait for FIOS, but after that call from Verizon today, I am thinking it will be a long time from now before we get offered it.
Any thoughts?

) and just staple the wiring to the baseboards, leaving it exposed. We said no thanks, and called Cox. They were out the next day, fished the walls, installed the jacks and all for less than Verizon was going to charge for leaving cables out all over my house.
