Tuesday 5th August.

We were awake at 7 and had an hour lying in bed and flicking through the tv channels. We headed to the food court for breakfast. I had a Mickey waffle with bacon and Syrup, Evie had a child’s waffle and Si had a han and cheese omlette. We all enjoyed breakfast, but Simon doesn’t understand waffles for breakfast!! :confused3

We stayed by the pool till 12, (Evie fell in love with the water on holiday), then S and E headed back to the room for a nap. I don’t like day time naps, so I decided to walk along the river to have a nosey at POR. The resort looked really nice, though much bigger than the FQ. I looked round the shop and pool area then caught the water taxi back to FQ which was very pleasant indeed. On the way back to the room I picked up lunch for us, a grilled cheese sandwhich for Evie and a philly cheese steak sandwich for us two to share.

We were pulling into EPCOT by 3pm, parking in Create 38. It was another hot and sunny day. We were going to go on Spaceship Earth, but the queue was big and E was desperate to meet Mickey and co so we queued in the character spot, it was over an hours wait, but E coped pretty well. She was so thrilled to meet Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip and Dale, and goofy. It was probably one of the best parts of the holiday and I think Simon even welled up a bit when he saw her joy at meeting them.

Evie wanted to play in the fountains , so I snuck on Test Track, while they played, needless to say she was drenched by the time I returned!

As we weren’t far away, we used the baby care room to change Evie into some dry clothes then had our tea at the Cantina in Mexico, which is one of our favourite counter service meals.

We then went on the Mexico ride which Evie loved, though we had to convince her that it wasn’t IASW! We then wandered slowly around the world, browsing the shops and stopping for an Asti in Italy on the way.

We were in bed again for 9pm, me writing up my notes and the other two watching TV. Another fab day!

Tomorrow: Cape May Breakfast, International Drive and MK again.

What a lovely day, Evie is so cute :cutie: I like the look of the Mexican food, for some reason we have never been there.

What a gorgeous daughter you have and how refreshing to read a chilled out, go at the kiddie pace report. Mine are all dashing here, there and everywhere.:) so it is lovely to read about a laid back one. Also hearing how your daughter enjoyed it. My two were 5 and 7 when we first took them and I can always remember my youngest being so chuffed that Donald Duck had kissed his head.

What a lovely relaxing morning and a nice sroll around Epcot - perfect. :thumbsup2

I love the photo of Evie in the fountains. :goodvibes

If I looked a tenth as cute as Evie standing there dripping wet, I'd run through the water jets myself! Thanks for your charming report.

Love the photos of Evie, she looks as though she is having so much fun.

Ahh little Evie looks like she is having an amazing time, the photos are great, we loved the food in Mexico (CS) too:thumbsup2

Sounds like Evie is really enjoying the pool/water :cutie: The mexican meal looks yummy, would like to eat there next time!

Lovely day.Evie looked like she had an amazing time-bless her she is sooooo sweet.x.

Another lovely day - I'm with Nat in that I'm loving Evie's outfit :thumbsup2 I don't think you ever forget the joy of seeing them interact with teh characters and the look of wonder on their faces when they see something different :)

What a lovely chilled out day. Evie looks absolutely adorable in your pics, and the food from Mexico looks stunning.

Sara. :)

“Bacon and Syrup”????? whoever first thought that would be a good combination?? :rotfl2:

The photos of Evie and the characters are superb – really magical.

That fountain looks so tempting – are grown-ups (even without kiddies) allowed in I wonder? :rotfl2:

POR is lovely – we stayed there (Dixie Landings then) the first time we stayed on site – it’s beautiful but soooo big!! I prefer the smaller resorts - POFQ is perfect.

Another lovely day Verity. A glass of Asti is a good way to end the day :thumbsup2
