The jury deliberated for 13 hours. It was 13 years ago today that Simpson was acquitted of murder.

Clarence Stewart and OJ

Guilty on all counts.

OJ love white people with a passion! So it's befitting that the people he love so much are the same people who found him guilty! I wonder if he's feeling the love now,,

No more golf for you, OJ. I hope they throw away the key. Ron Goldman's gotta be dancing the happy jig right now.

Yes!!!

"The 61-year-old former football star faces a prison sentence of 5 years to life."

I hope this means the Goldman family can now have some peace. They were just on Dr. Phil the other day, still crusading on behalf of Ron. I felt so bad for them, because O.J. was out purposely thumbing his nose at them. Maybe now, they & the Simpson family can move forward with an easier heart.

5 years to life..... So what is that really - Like 6 months in Camp Cupcake and then back out on the golf course??

The irony of the date of the verdict is the most interesting part of this story.

Ron Goldman's dad, Fred, said that OJ deserves to be in jail for life but not for this crime.

its about time the jury got it right. Now it will be great if he gets the max. That scum should of been sitting in a jail cell the past 13 years.

I think the Not guilty verdict 13 years go is something most people can remember where they were when they heard it. It was my sons 3rd birthday that day.

The tragedy of course is for the Goldman family, who didn't get justice when it was needed. I hope that they can take some comfort in that he will be off of the street soon. The other tragedy is his, now adult children. They have lost both parents, and even though they are adults, they would have been better off with Denise's family in their growing up years.

So what's the lesson for OJ? This is what you get for associating with white people, or this is what you get for kidnapping and armed robbery? Inquiring minds want to know?

I agree, no matter what OJ has gotten alot of press about how bad is life is now/since then. Too bad soo sad. It was bound to happen he would break the law again in a way that would send him away. He became invincilbe in his own mind. Who puts out a book about if he HAD committed murder this is what he would have done so it proves hes innocent.

Those kids have been in trouble with the law quite a bit as well. They deserved so much more.

I did not realize that. That makes it worse. How he could have been judged a fit parent is beyond me. Furthermore, despite his insistence of innocence, his children really had to know the truth or at least have a high degree of ambivalence towards him. How do you live with your mother's killer? :sad2:

I am not sure if it was the son or dd but one of them a few years ago was involved in a robbery/fraud type situation if I remember correctly.

I always wondered if they knew, had some idea, and were just afraid. I don't know. I always felt bad for them because both the Goldman and Nicole's family were always out there for awhile talking about what evidence proved he did it. I always wondered how the kids were even a little bit sheltered from the information the media handed out. Even with the trial being on tv I was worried about what those kids saw/heard.

I hope they throw the book at him. I would expect the judge would lean toward a heavier sentence, considering the past. I'm sure that isn't the perfectly unbiased thing to do, but really - who in this country doesn't have an opinion about OJ?

Poetic justic.

Ron Goldman's dad is right. I'm just sorry it took 13 years for the gulty verdit to come about.

On another note, they had 9 women on that panel, what were they thinking? Were they so arrogant they thought it wouldn't matter?
No matter how you promise to not think about past, it has to color your thoughts.

he's a disgusting excuse for a human being- glad he finally got what was coming to him.

On the news this morning they will appeal this and they might have a case. The trial 13 years ago was brought up many times during the trial. The judge tried to squash it, but once it's said, it's in your thoughts.

You know, I am a big believer in justice for all, reasonable doubt etc. But, I just don't understand how it is possible that the defense thought there wouldn't be a person on the jury that would NOT know the story. So, I am not sure that even without the mention of it during trial, how was the jury not impartial to the circus. But, I kept thinking this was a different case, they weren't retrying the old one etc. My guess is that this was a tactic they were planning on using since the beginning anyway, so I am not surprised at all. I am not a lawyer so there is not way I would be able to understand all the logistics. But, it would be sad that OJ can keep breaking the law and get away with it because of the first trial. Sounds like they will have to come up with case law for future issues like this.
