Verandah vs Porthole

I have sailed inside, oceanview and verandah. Truthfully, I don't think the premium you pay for the verandah is worth it. We did NOT use it nearly enough to justify the price differential. Maybe if it were just DH and I, an adults trip, things would be different, but with children I find that it is too hectic to find the time to relax and enjoy the verandah. If I did the math on how much we paid divided by the overall time spent on it, I bet it would be about $50 a minute. No joke
