Veranda Stateroom Difference?

Obviously size!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2:

But seriously, what is the difference between the 246 sq. ft and 299 sq ft. veranda staterooms? Can you really "feel" the difference in the smaller veranda room? We are used to staying in 1 or 2 bedroom units at hotels and such but we obviously know cruise staterooms are smaller.

The obvious difference is the size. On the Magic and Wonder, the sizes posted include the balcony, bathroom, etc. They do not represent the living space. If you are looking at one of the "extended balcony" categories, this entire difference could be represented by the bigger balcony. However, on the new ships, some cabins are slightly larger than others.

We've cruised in both of the room types. It's relative to each person but we can tell the difference.

The Family Verandah room has more space to pass between the bed and the wall. Going sideways between the bed and wall vs being able to walk around the bed is something that we like.

The Family verandah room is not only wider but also longer. Having that extra room between the couch and verandah makes the room feel much bigger.

Bottom line is that we prefer the extra space. Makes us feel a little less squished.

Have fun on your cruise!!

We notice the difference and prefer cat 4's over cat 5's and it is just DH and me.
