veranda chair question

I have a rather strange question, but this board has so much useful info that I'm sure someone knows the answer. We are cruising in September in a Category 3. My mom is overweight, and she is really worried about what kind of chairs are on the veranda. Are they the resin chairs, or are they more substantial? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if I remember correctly they are the type that have metal frames with plastic across forming the seat and the back. I am sure her will be fine.

I'm overweight and had no problem. Not to worry Disney is very good to us pleasantly plump people.

I'm also an overweight guy and I spent a lot of time in the veranda chair. It is definitely sturdy and I had no problems sitting in it or getting up. I

NEVER be afraid to ask if you have any problems with seating aboard the ship, due to being slightly larger than average. I know the CM's will do all they can to find suitable, comfortable chairs for you. Relax and enjoy. Nat
