This may be the dumbest question on this board but I still gotta know. Does anyone have a picture of the veranda or can describe what the walls are like? I am planning on bringing a portable hammock and I need to know if the sides of the veranda have a top bar or somewhere I can thread the string through to secure it. I tried it on my metal railed patio at home and it works great. We have a cat 4 and 5 (cat 4 farrrrrrrr forward and 5 almost mid.)

Any help would be great!

Who has become completely obsessive compulsive about packing for this vacation.

Depending on the configuration of your hammock (and how you intend to secure it), you may be able to hang it. We have tied a line to dry bathing suites and diving gear, but the place to secure the line was up near the ceiling (about 7 1/2' to 8' up) on the veranda partitions (which are steel and very sturdy).

These 2 pictures show what the sides of the verandahs look like, hope it helps!

This one shows a little of the top. Not sure where you'd be able to tie a hammock.

Pauline: 402 hours - LOL!! :) Good thing I spent most of the morning packing! Of course everything will need to be reironed after sitting in the suitcases for 3 weeks!
