Vera Bradley bag fraying

I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but it didn't seem to fit anywhere else. I got a small Vera Bradley bag about a year and half ago and the fabric and the strap have been fraying pretty badly. I'm afraid that the strap is going to break. Is this normal for a bag that's used every day or should I contact Disney about it? Thanks!

A few of my straps have frayed but not to that extent. I notice it a bit after 6 months of so of use that it starts to show some wear. I wouldn't contact Disney, contact Vera Bradley instead. Have you washed the bag at all? I've never seen mine overlook look that way, but I don't wash them either.

For the prices paid for Vera Bradley, I do not find the quality there, as yes, they do start fraying fairly quickly. I will not buy them except on discounted sites, even if they aren't the 'latest' styles, colors. I love the ones I have, and even more as I paid just $'s for them, and they were new. I just keep my eyes open for good buys.

I would contact VB, but don't get your hopes up that they will do anything positive! Good luck!

It has happened to my Vera bags as well. I stopped buying them as I don’t think the value is there.

I have a bag that is used for school 10 months of the year. My husband bought it for me last summer and he’s replacing it for Christmas because it is pretty well worn. We get them at the outlet when they are on sale, so I’m not as upset about it. But, if I’d paid full price I definitely would not be happy. I like the softness and colors, but as others have mentioned they are not built to last.

If you use it daily and tend to put semi heavy things in it then I'd say normal wear and tear. It is just a cotton bag after all.
But I will say that I've had my Midnight With Mickey hipster since it came out and use it the majority of the time and it has not done that.
My mom puts entirely too much in her hipster and hers is holding up well too.
My sister's Where's Mickey hipster did get a hole in it after heavy use.
Overall though we all have several hipsters and other than my sister's they are all still in good shape.

I have lots of Veras, but none have ever worn like that. I would call Vera Bradley and see if they can help.
