Ok so if your a passholder you know about the special offer they were doing for us to have a tour of the new fantasy land. Then you would also know that, that was a huge cluster ****. After all the times were given, they realized more passholders wanted to view, so they open it back up as a "sweepstakes" to get a time slot. That's where my story begins. I put in for the "sweepstakes" and got an email back saying " CONGRATULATIONS you have been selected to participate in the New Fantasy land of Magic Kingdom park Preview SWEEPSTAKES for annual passholders. In this email it gives good details of checking in at the transportation center getting our ID's checked and to get our wrist bands. It also asks you to choose 1 of 2 itineraries. So we get our writ bands and continue on to the park. Our instructions were to meet at the entrance of fantasy land at our 5:30 report time. We do some shopping before our time and we get hungry so about 4pm we head over to fantasyland to find out if we needed to eat before our tour or if it was included .

So when we arrive we see that anyone in the park are able to just walk into the new area. So we ask a cast member who looks some what important, where we are supposed to meet for our tour. Well come to find out that there Is NO TOUR! It's a self guided tour, the only point in our wrist bands were if the area became to crowded that then passholders get preference over other guests. It might just be me and my wife but from the email we received and how everything was, it led us to believe that this was supposed to be and actual TOUR... I'm a big Disney fan we go alot, I've never been disappointed or this frustrated at Disney.... Thoughts? Comments please

I am fine with whatever they want to do and honestly, if we don't see it at all then I will just see it next time we go, but I do feel that they have handled this weirdly. Personally, we got a 9pm -1am time which is not exactly convenient, but I checked more time slots since they said that gave us better odds. I have been hearing almost everyday about them letting the general public in though. If that is the case, we will check each day and time we are at the MK before our scheduled day and time and if it is open at a more convenient time we will just go then.

I agree, they made it sound like it was a private passholder thing, but there is nothing to do about it now, but make the best of it.

Ya the general public can go in.... We took time off work to make sure we could get there in time for our private veiwing... Your right nothing I can do now... We still enjoyed the ride and sights even found a couple hidden mickeys but all in all Disney let me down tonight

We went yesterday. We had not signed up, but at the rope if you flashed your premium pass they just handed us wrist bands and we went on our way. Absolutely no lines for the little mermaid, and it was fantastic.
I would just go ahead and try to walk in.

I think you missed the point of my thread, they made it look like we "won" a private pass holder sweepstakes tour.... But in reality anyone can walk in....

I totally get it OP. Through all the mess with the first signups, we were made to believe this was something special for passholders. We are scheduled for tomorrow morning and I keep wondering if it's worth it to get up at 4:30 and drive for two hours for this. We'll have a family trip in three weeks and can see it then. But I do feel like we get let down more and more.

That isn't true. I tried to come in as GP on Tuesday and they would not let me in. Now I did hear that later in the day they let in some GP but most of the days are just for the APholders.

I am sooo bummed I wasn't let in. I was upset.

I would say no its not worth getting up at 4:30 pass holders who never signed up online were just walking up and showing their pass and getting a wrist band... Like I said all the wrist band did was get you priority over everyone else IF its busy it also gets you into belles interactive story time...

I'm not sure what times they start letting " everyone " in but when we went at 4pm it was packed and any one was coming and going, it did seem like more towards 5:30 or so they were stepping up looking for wrist bands... But again just show them your pass anytime if you have one there's no need to go at your set time

I must not have been very lucky then because I didn't get in. I don't think they are letting in everyone in though every day.

It would be worth it to me! You say you have a trip in 3 weeks, imagine. The Carsland opening in DCA, and that is what you are going to have in 3 weeks. Honestly, you have a chance to see it all tomorrow, just go for it instated of fighting ALL of the people that are going to be there after it opens on 12/6.
