Oh my! I'm so annoyed right now, I could scream.
My husband and I bought new dining room furniture at the beginning of January, and it was delivered this Saturday. After going over all of it, we noticed that the corner of the table has a noticable crack and there is also a knick of the front of the buffet. I called store as soon as it opened, and they told me I had to call the delivery number. I called the delivery number, and spoke with a lady who was no help. She didn't even appoligize that the furniture arrived damaged. She told me they could send a repairmen out later this week. I asked if I could get a discount because I purchased new, undamaged furniture, not repaired furniture. She said that maybe I could talk to a manager if I was unhappy with the repair. I asked to speak to a manager right then.
Of course, she just sent me to voicemail. I didn't call back on Saturday afternoon because I was giving the store the benefit of the doubt. I've called twice this morning (at 9:30 and 11:00), and my call went straight to voicemail both times. I left polite messages, but no one has called me back.
I'm so frustrated right now. 1) the furniture should have arrived in perfect, new condition and 2) I want this situation corrected ASAP. I don't want to leave endless messages and not have anyone call me back. Right now, I almost just want them to pick up the stuff and refund me my money, because I don't feel like giving money to a store that treats their customers so poorly.
Well, thanks for listening. I just needed to rant.
