Vent: I can't believe I was so Gullible!

OK, so I knew not to do this, but I did anyway. I knew this person for almost a year and haven't seen him on in a bit.

So he comes up and asks to borrow my Dream Ears, to take a picture with his brother, he didn't get any in the dreams month. Why did I do it?? Because I actually believed I could trust this person. Seriously known them on VMK for almost a year.

He stayed around for a bit, and then i told him to find me, i would be playing mansion. I leave, play a horrible game of ghosts and guess what. I am no longer his friend. Nope gone.

Dream Ears Poof!

I even went through this entire I don't normally let ppl borrow stuff and please don't scam a friend you have known for so long, etc.

I hate being such a trusting person!

AND! After writing this I went to the pirates lobby to try to help another diser with the quest and this girl trades me, i accept and then she says give me something rare or I will report you right now and say that you took all of my rare. OMG, what is going on in VMK tonight???????

Aww... I am so sorry this happened to you! It really stinks when you try to be a giving and selfless person and someone takes advantage of that.

I wish I had an extra pair of ears to gift you, but sadly I don't. Don't despair, we'll get you another pair to replace those somehow. I know replacing the item still doesn't take away the pain that comes when someone betrays you. Nothing can ever heal that.

I am so, so, so Sorry. If I borrowed something from someone I would really give it back. If I had a pair of 'Dream Ears' I would trade them to you. But I haven't got even one thing from the host . I wish you had your Dream Ears back.

I was actually able to trade for a set last night. The diser was very nice and not asking for much at all. I also got a PM offering to gift me ears - THANK YOU - I was very happy to have gotten mine already so that person can spread the gift to another.

I hate to say that I have learned my lesson because I feel like I have come to really know some of the ppl on VMK. But I guess if you don't know them from outside sources, I guess you never really will.

I wear my heart on my sleeve, I always have and even though it is only virtual things, it still bothers me to be taken advantage of.

I am so sorry to hear about this. I am happy to hear that someone has stepped up and traded you for a reasonable trade.

You were so sweet to trade your extra ears to me dream for dream for my friend who didn't get any ears.

You are very sweet and it hurts when people take advantage of that. Too bad the few bad apples spoil the bunch.

I'm glad you were able to get another pair of ears, but I'm sorry it had to be due to those circumstances.

As for the Junior Racketeer in Training...

I would have told the little snot that if she tried to report, she would get the
ban, because VMK Staff can read everything in trade windows, too. Then
quickly stop the trade and click Report on her before she has a chance to
make a break for it in order to report her little "shake down" activities.

If you still have her title, you should write to Contact Us about it, noting the
day and time if you have that info, too. I wouldn't want a little kid to get
intimidated by her bully tactics.
