You definitely need more definitive rules before you go!

I'm planning a gathering next Sept. and my rules are

1)EVERYBODY confirms by February when I book the room- No changes- You're in or you're out period.

2) We split the cost of the points- ALL OF US- somehow, my family is more accountable when money is involved.

3) No charges to the room- use your charge card- we're not figuring out who charged what when we stay in a GV.

Good luck with your trip- oh and I had to laugh when you said your next one won't be for 2 years- I plan my GG's every 5

Just be aware--you won't get seated for a PS unless your entire party is with you.

This was a BIG BIG issue last trip.

Usually Brother #1 was only 5 or so minutes late, but one day he was 20 minutes late. For our PS at the Garden Grill Ice Cream Social.
I told the CM who checked us in that more people were coming. (My mom was missing too--she had gone back to BCV to put on more comfy shoes).
They went ahead and seated us, assuring us that they would seat us tables for 10.

I was fuming and embarrassed.

We were seated at two tiny tables that each sat four.

I told our server that more people were coming and he got a bit huffy. Again, I felt extremely embarrassed.

My brother showed up like it was no biggie.............He had to sit at the end of a table, partially blocking the aisle. (Even with another empty table beside us, they wouldn't seat anyone there.)

Then my mom showed up over thirty minutes late.
Not only had she changed shoes, but she "just had" to stop by the DVC desk in the lobby of the Beach Club again.
She was always stopping by there to chat.

I was just furious. I felt it very rude on there part.

From then on I lied about PS times so everyone would have plenty of lee-way to arrive on time.
Still didn't work with my Brother--------he is habitually tardy, must be some kind of recessive gene!

I will be fudging the PS times this trip too. It is sad that I have to resort to this..............

My family is so weird .

I don't think anyone else answered you yet, so here goes:

Priority Seating is available to everyonw (not a DVC perk) and I believe you can call 100 days out now, so you're probably within the timeframe now. The number is 407 WDW DINE. Hope you have a great first trip home!
