"Babs"---
Please don't take offense at this, but if you find you are in need of a "midnight snack", then you are not taking full advantage of your dinner priveleges. I don't know if you've cruised on
DCL before, but if not, one of the "newbie" mistakes that some make is thinking that, as is normally true in a restaraunt, you can only order one entre'.
Hint: if three entre's sound good, order all three!!! They will bring you whatever you ask for. If all of them sound good, order them all!! Share them with the table. The servers don't care what you order!!! They only care that you are satisfied (which will mean a good tip at the end of the cruise). On that subject, make sure you do tip well if the servers take care of whatever you ask for!!!
One other piece of advice, if you are a first-time cruiser (and assuming you can get it): take the late dinner rotation. If you don't, you will find yourself rushing fron whatever you're doing in the late afternoon to get to your dinner, and if you stay up late, you will also find it more likely that you'll need another meal before bedtime.
We always take the late rotation, eat everything that appeals to us, and even though we can get it if we want, have never had the need to order a "midnight snack".
