I see when we are there, "Bret Michaels" will be performing. My question is - he will perform in the lobby it states, is this closed off? I am not looking to go but what if we want to walk through the lobby? How is this going to affect our stay for that night? Thanks for any information!

If I remember the website correctly, I think the Velvet Sessions are in the Velvet bar. So it shouldn't be a problem at all, but don't quote me on that.

Yes, the "main" part of the lobby is closed off, meaning the sunken area by the windows. They still keep a hallway and the check-in desks open, so you can walk through, although it is generally packed with people coming and going.

the check in desks are still open, but i dont know how any business can get done, because it is loud. you can walk in the lobby, but as stated earlier part of it is blocked off and other than the walkways there is not much else left.
