Velocicoaster - how intense?

:worship: Hubby & I only went on it once while we were there in May - wiped us OUT for the rest of the day! We're currently debating giving it another go when we're there for our Christmas vacation a couple weeks - we've both always really loved roller coasters our whole lives but lately they don't always like US!

Oh goodness, I don’t blame you.

I‘m like that with RRR if I don‘t sit at the front, but the Velocicoaster I’m completely fine with as it is so smooth!

But, I know what you mean and some things affect others differently……I’d have to give it another try though if I were you ::yes:: …..we are completely obsessed by it!

Lost count how many times we went on the Velocicoaster today…..hardly any wait times this morning.

Front row and back row are the BEST!!!! The air time in the back row especially is fantastic……especially when you’re upside down there isn’t a part of your body touching the seat ::yes:: …….best coaster ever!
Indeed, must have seen y’all in passing this morning! At 9AM Our fam went 3 times in a row in something like an hour. I’m starting to realize I like this more than Hagrid’s.
Ditto on the back row! Particularly the top hat, as you get a great “whip” acceleration as the rest of the train pulls the end over the top.

My family and I rode VC multiple times on our trip this past August. Park was dead, and we were able to get several walk-ons in a row a couple mornings.

I‘m in my 50s, so first thing in the AM re-riding intense coasters can be unpleasant. But although thrilling, fast and with strong G forces, I suffered no ill effects. Nor did my wife, or daughter. DD is 14, and loved it - although keep in mind she rode Millennium Force, a 300 foot tall, 90 MPH coaster when she was six, so she may not be your average kid.

I‘ve ridden over 250 different coasters around the world, and am comfortable placing this one in my top ten. Also loved Hagrid’s - Universal has real winners with those two.

Universal has been crushing it lately! I don't know that I ever would have even thought of going there before they opened the HP stuff but now it's an annual trip for me. Will be very interesting to see how the new park turns out and how things will change for them.

Really looking forward to this. My wife, not as much, but she will try it at least once. The videos look amazing!
