Veil or Tiara-pros and cons??

Hi guys!

I know it's mainly personal preference, but veil or tiara-how did you decide?

I'm thinking a veil would be best for me because it's traditional & classic & I like that, but the tiaras look so princess-ey!!

Is one generally way more expensive than the other? Or more appropriate for a specific hairstyle?

I'd love to know which one you prefer & why.

When you wear a tiara you do usually wear a veil with it. Likewise if you wear a veil you usually wear a headband or something to hold it on.

Thank you! I bought them both from my bridal salon.

Randy Chapman was our photographer & I have both a planning journal and a trip report...I kinda went psycho deleting all the pics out of them though because a few brides on here had issues...now I kinda regret it

Now, we are doing an Escape package. Would this be extra or something we'd likely need to book anyways? I can't remember if a photo package is included.

I'm trying to pinch every penny to be able to afford the MK photo shoot! Randy can't be hired for that, right?

Yes I did use him!!!!! We did an escape too and just swapped out the Disney photography for a honeymoon photoshoot at the MK...I think you would have to pay extra for the bridal MK shoot.....

I'm confused about the swapping out....did you have to pay for the photographer that's included in the Escape package or is the honeymoon photo shoot an upgrade?

The photographer is included in the package so instead of using them on the wedding day(we didn't cause I had Randy) we did a honeymoon shoot instead and did'nt pay extra....they used to let you do the bridal MK shoot but now they only let you do the honeymoonshoot...ask your planner about the bridal mk shoot if you want to do it maybe you can just pay whatever the difference is.

I ve decided on wearing both although before i picked my dress i was adament that i would nt wear a veil.

I ve had my tiara for over a year so was dead set on just wearing that. I picked my dress out 2 months a go & whilst trying it on with my tiara in place the lady who was helping me said "lets try a veil as well". I was pretty sure i would nt like it but the difference the veil made was amazing. Dont rule either one of them out till you actually see yourself in your dress with a veil/tiara on. For me personally after trying the whole outfit on (dress,veil & tiara) i would def go for both, it just made everything look complete

My hair is gonna be up & curled so like one of the other pics shown i will have my tiara at the front & my veil placed right at the back of my hair just hanging down. It wont be the kinda veil i put over my face as im not too keen on those.

You ve really gotta try both on with your dress and see how it compliments your dress & how comfortable you feel wearing them

You really need to try them on and then decide. I thought I wanted a tiara and veil but when I tried them on they looked ridiculous on me. Sad to say, but I just have a small head and the veils swallowed me up. I did get a tiara but I wore it more like a headband and that worked with my short hair.

I'm sure you'll look beautiful no matter what you choose!

I'm having a Tiara AND veil! Why choose? I will probably take my veil off for the recpetion because it is very long!
