For those who have had or or having outdoor locations are you doing a veil or if you had one at yours, do you wish you didnt because of wind...or was it no problem at all?

Phewwww! that was a multiple part question :goodvibes

I am planning on wearing a viel for my outdoor ceremony and I hadn't really thought about the wind. I suppose if it's windy that day I might go without it.

I am having my ceremony outdoors and I am wearing an elbow length veil. I haven't really thought about the wind much. Although if there is wind I think the veil blowing would make a cute picture.

Caryn wore a cathedral length veil for her ceremony and I don't think she had any problem. Dmslush also had a veil on for her Sunset Pointe ceremony and it was super windy that day but she kept it on and got great pictures. Maybe she'll post some.

I'm wearing elbow length at SBP.... I think.... not sure yet.... I already bought it... I might just do a flower... not worried about wind, yet

I am also torn about the whole veil thing....I'm leaning towards no veil..but not because of wedding location, just because I feel it's not me. That being said I have a picture in my head of something I would like, so if I see one in real life like it, I might change my mind.::yes::
When I went on my first (and so far only) dress appointment, the sales lady put the veil on me but the one she picked out I definitely didn't like plus she was being a bit too pushy about it. I first told her I didn't think I wanted a veil but told myself to shut up because sometimes you don't know until you try....

I wore a veil but did not wear it over my face. I used my mom's veil, but put it on a comb.

No veil for me. They looked funny on me. When I tried on dresses the sales associates kept shoving them on my head to "finish" the look. I would pull them off because I just didn't like them. But they are very "bridal" and many women look great in them. Just not me.

I had an outdoor ceremony, and there was a little wind that blew my curls into my face, but I don't think it would have been enough to have been a problem.

I didn't wear a veil, just like Ember said, it wasn't "me" and they all looked ridiculous on me. I wore a tiara, more like a headband, and I was very happy with that. If you like the look of a veil and want to wear one, I wouldn't worry about the wind, I'm sure it will be fine.

I wore a veil right on the beach, and I felt like it blew around a lot, but it didn't look like it in the pictures at all. It actually ended up looking really natural, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I too am a no-veil bride who felt funny and not like herself wearing one. I wore a fascinator instead.

However, if you do go for a veil and it does blow around, it might look really cool in the pictures! :thumbsup2

Right on Lindsay... beat me to the punch in mentioning Dmslush's pictures!! She got some great shots with her veil blowing all over.

My wedding was outdoors (SBP) and I hadn't thought about the wind at all, I just didn't think I was a veil kinda bride until I saw the birdcage veil. I was all over that and I just loved the way it looked. Even if it was windy (which it wasn't and I hadn't even worried about it ahead of time) I don't think there would be a problem with a veil that short.

And on a side bar, I feel like it's been so long since I posted that I've forgotten how to word stuff. It's like it's all jumbled and trying to come out at once... eeek! :upsidedow
