Leaving DW and going to the Nick hotel for 2 days over thanksgiving and guessing I should rent a car. The taxi fare is 45.00 from the hotel, any ideas?

I would look into renting a car. I looked into for my trip in January (I plan to leave WDW to travel to meet family in Ft. Lauderdal). When I priced it out for my budget, if I pick up the car at 2pm on Friday and return it Saturday by 2pm, then it was $55 with taxes for a compact. Take a look. The Dolphin has a National car rental place onsite. My plan is to pick up the car from there.

a free shuttle from POR to take you over to the WDW car care center which has car rentals. not sure which companies. Someone will know or go to Mousesavers.com to the car rental links. Hope this helps.

I just booked a 2 day rental with National. Picking up at Dolphin on 11/21 and returning to MCO 11/23. My quote is $83.11. I used a one class upgrade coupon from the ent book. We got an intermediate.
