Veggie in DLP

Hello all I was just wondering if anyone has any experience of "going veggie" at DLP, and if so how easy is it and do you have any tips? I've done WDW a fair few times and know all the tricks of the trade there, but we're considering a trip to DLP at some point (money permitting) and don't really know the lie of the land there (no pun intended).

I went with a friend who is allergic to meat last September and the choice wasnt overwhelming. Wether Dominique is more fussy then the average vegetarian I don't know but everything was either cheese sandwich or just fries. I dont wish to generalise but I don't think that many French people are vegetarian and the market for vegetarian food isnt large so although do-able it does mean you have very little variation.

My two sisters are vegetarian and when we were there in November they didn't have too much of a problem.

For counter service there was the pizza option,cheese sandwiches and they really enjoyed the pasta and salads at Bella Notte.

For our evening meals we went to Rainforest Cafe and they really enjoyed that although I can't remember what they had. Cafe Mickey did not offer a vegetarian meal apart from cheese pizza.When my sister asked if they had an option they classed the fish dishes as vegetarian!!!So if you eat fish you were ok.

It may be that table service restaurants will offer your friend a better choice.

Thanks for all the info so far. I wasn't expecting DLP to be that veggie friendly, as I know, in general, France isn't a vegetarian country. I'm used to eating the pasta option and I don't really mind that, so I should cope.
No, I don't eat fish, and I do love the way some servers cycle through all the meat options before finally accepting that you might not eat anything that once had a face. I think the funniest thing I was ever offered as a "vegetarian meal" was steak!
Well we're probably not going for a while yet (because of studies and money), so maybe the Disney healthy eating overhaul (which includes increasing the veggie range in parks!) will have reached Paris by then. Here's hoping.

Hi, you can survive as a vegetarian in Paris.
My personal favorite is http://www.vscoeur.com/. Reasonable price for Paris and a lot of choices, 100% Veggie
There is a complete vegetarian menu in Walt's and the Jiminy Cricket Menu has 3 choices for each course. Even the King Ludwigs has a vegetarian option. In the Val D'Europe Shopping Center there is a good and themed Italian restaurant, which is much cheaper than the restaurants in DLRP.
One Tip, spend your money for a real meal in a full service restaurant. The counter service is not good for veggie in DLRP. You can forget the farfalle salad etc. in the Bella Notte. Tiny portion. There is a good salad with cheese for half the price in the McD in Disney Village.
The Manhatten in the HNY has a vegetarian Menu too. My DW and I are both vegetarians and we stayed there for two weeks last summer and do not had any problems.

King Ludwig's was one of my favourite veggie options. Sadly many of the sit down entrees are pasta, which gets a little boring.

Also note that the french are rather lax about 'veggie'. At Silver Spur, the caesar salad with anchovies is listed as 'veggie' and I had to explain several times that even a 'little fish' is still a fish. They just didn't get my point.

Also had caviar on a 'veggie' dish.

But there are some very good choices, if you don't mind pasta, or check out menus in advance. I sometimes had an appetizer and dessert if the entree was not great.

I also recommend L'Auberge de Cendrillion for the large appy buffet. Although the SL and Newport Bay buffets were supposed to have good veggie items, there weren't really a lot, especially NBP at lunch.

Sometimes the set meals don't offer a veggie choice, either, so you do need to check it out.

Failing all of that, a baguette from the train station was always a good choice!!!
