My aunt and I are both vegetarians, and I was wondering what are some vegetarian favorites? [Doesn't matter what restaraunt.]

Thanks!

I LOVED the pasta dish at Cinderella's Castle. I don't remember what it was called, but its simialar to a Pasta Primavera type dish. YUMM-O!
They had a great lemon, sorbet with some sort of muffin for dessert too.

(that was a big help, wasn't it! ) lol

At almost every restaurant you can order a vegetarian entree. They will even ask if you want a vegan item. Some are better than others. My favorite was at ohanna...the tofu entree. I didn't like amber waves of grain at LLT nor did I like a curry dish at rose & crown. Hollywood & vine had a good thai dish but tasted like it might have had fish stock in it.....you can get a boca burger at many counter service counters.
TTS had a good pasta dish and at CP you can pick off the veggie items. Boma is great for veggie dishes also.
You will have an easy time if you are vegetarian...harder if vegan.

oh, DON'T due CRT for breakfast bc it costs too much to only eat fruit or yogurt & granola.

Some of my favorite vegetarian meals at WDW include the pasta dish at Sci-Fi (it comes with shrimp but if you ask for it without shrimp they will add extra veggies); the vegetarian sandwich at the Plaza Restaurant in the MK (it comes with sweet potato chips); the vegetarian sandwich at the Back Lot in MGM; and the vegetarian stuffed pepper at Prime Time Cafe in MGM.

The tofu dish at Brown Derby.

The veggie sandwich at Tusker House.

The veggie platter at Tangerine Cafe.

Went to Spoodles and ordered the dip sampler off the appetizer menu. It was to die for!

I've heard many good things about Boma. We're trying it this time. I'm really looking forward to it!

Thanks for the great ideas! I can't wait to try some of these dishes on my next visit! :)

Hi!
San Angel Inn in Epcot has a vegetarian menu. I think it just has two things on it and you have to ask for it. I ordered from the regular menu, and asked them to leave out the meat. I ate at O'hanas and had everything, but the meat. The California Grill is great. I've eaten there twice and they have vegetarian selection on their menu. Le Cellier, which is popular for the steak, has shrimp on their menu. You can always ask to leave the meat out and see if they'll do it for you. Have a great trip!!!

ACTUALLY, CRT for breakfast is fine. If you call a day ahead, they can have veggie bacon, veggie sausage, egg substitute, and vegan french toast ready to go. Beware of the breakfast potatoes..they are cooked in bacon. They are happy to make you a veggie batch though!

Jiki - veggie dish is incredible..tofu, grains, veggies, yum!

Spoodles - ask for veggie sampler, a little bit of all vegs on menu, very yummy

Boma - so many options

CA grill - veggie sampler, also very yum

:)

I had really great luck finding veggie food on our trip in January. My favorite was the butternut squash risotto at Le Cellier- this is not always on the menu, but there is always a veggie option and it is usually pretty creative (not just pasta w/ sauce). Other good things were the veggie meal at Teppanyaki, one at Les Chefs de France (but the bistro upstairs doesn't look like it has an option really), and the veggie couscous at Marrakesh (kinda bland, but good). Boma has awesome veggie options. I had good luck at counter service as well- awesome veggie sandwhiches, stirfry, pizza, and I forget what else- try Backlot Express, Wolfgang Puck, ABC Comissary for starters. I also hear great things about Tangerine Cafe and Columbia Harbor House. My only bad experience was at Cinderella's Royal Table, but none of our food was good that night so it wasn't just the veggie dish. Disney is great for vegetarians. Have a great time!

DH and I found plenty of good stuff last May. We mostly did CS. DH loved the veggie burger at Cosmic Ray's because he could load up on toppings at the fixings bar. I really liked the veggie sandwich at Columbia Harbour House (DH said veggie chilli was good there too.) Tusker House had an awesome veggie sandwich but I have heard they changed the recipe since then :sad2: The only TS we did was Crystal Palace (had to give DD some Pooh and Tigger time). We thought it was a really good buffet for vegetarians, lots of interesting veggie items (not just vegetable side dishes). We also ate at ABC Commissary, which wasn't memorable, and The Terrace Noodle Station where the veggie noodle bowl was a bit disappointing compared to the other items we had that week.
We are going back in September, so I hope people keep posting suggestions!
