We are thinking about trying Ohana on our next trip, but 2/3 of our party are vegetarian/pescetarian. The other third adores meat of all sorts, as in would be happy with a lot of meat and nothing else. Would breakfast or dinner make more sense in this case? Or should we pass on this restaurant? Thanks for your thoughts.

I would not go to 'Ohana for dinner. It is meat, meat and more meat. If you like Stitch and the gag, go for breakfast.

I've actually gone to Ohana breakfast with a vegetarian, and he absolutely loved it! He even requested a separate wok with non-meat items, and they were more than happy to provide him with one. Definitely would recommend for your dining party :)

Good to know! Thank you so much. We have heard great things about this place and almost tried it last time. Hope we can get an ADR.

We've gone to 'Ohana for dinner a few times with my vegan sister. She actually enjoyed it very much. They gave her an additional appetizer and made her a separate entree.

I think it depends on how the vegetarians like to eat. Some just don't eat the meat portion of the meal, while more advanced vegetarians want a fuller vegetarian meal. For me, I would be happy eating the delicious bread, salad, noodles, and dessert. But others might not. I like the PP suggestion of a vegetarian entree.

Our family does love dinner there- it would be a shame to miss.

Also to consider- if they would find it morally objectionable to see big skewers of meat walking around constantly, then probably pass on dinner.

I'm vegetarian, and I made a dinner reservation happily intending to just eat the bread, vegetables, and noodles. When I mentioned to our waitress that I wouldn't be eating the meat offerings (to let her know she should bring smaller portions of the wings and potstickers), she asked if I eat tofu. I do, and she said she would bring me their vegetarian entree: veggies with tofu. It was nice that she offered and I didn't even have to ask. I think any vegetarians in your group would be fine at dinner (unless, as a PP noted, your party would find all the meat in the room morally objectionable).

ETA: I forgot to mention, I was given a separate vegetarian appetizer as well! A delicious array of dips (hummus and baba ghanoush) with cracker/flatbread dippers.

I'm vegetarian with mushroom & mango allergies. 'Ohana always takes GREAT care of me. In fact, the last couple of times I went, I requested that they didn't even bring me the "entree" as I knew I would be full between the salad, apps, sides and dessert. The salad and the hummus app are enough to constitute a meal alone for me. (The first time, they complied, but the second time they didn't listen... I was coming down sick too and I felt so bad, since IIRC they had to make the entree specially to accommodate my mushroom issues! I only ate like three bites!)
