Searched for a while but couldn't find any posts about options while having BBQ lunches on excursions. Has anyone experienced this situation? (St.Thomas and Tortola)

I haven't been to those locations, but on our Cozumel excursion it was pretty dire. There was technically a vegetarian option, but it was pretty gross and almost certainly contaminated. I complained to the person in charge, and we got a small "discount" on the photo package (kinda BS because you can negotiate that anyway). I think you should reach out in advance to the tour operator and see what your options will be. I don't remember the specifics, but I think it was beans and french fries for me, the fries def sharing oil with meat and the beans....not looking good.

Is it an excursion contracted through Disney? Sometimes you can do some sleuthing and figure out who the excursion operator is an contact them directly. I did that with something that I was confused about a weight/height minimum for my daughter (who is tiny) to zipline.

We haven't done any with Disney, but in Tortola the private tour operator we used had a few veg options for me, but I wasn't completely satisfied. As a vegetarian, I've learned with those things to bring snack options. I usually pack a hefty vegan protein bar (I like Vega) to supplement.

I agree with trying to contact the excursion operator but honestly either way I would be prepared with bars or something to get me through just in case.
