Does anyone have any personal experience with ordering special vegetarian options at Teppan Edo? A friend who will be dining with us is a vegetarian. I know there are the noodles and veggies that everyone receives, but is there anything else they can make? That way she can get the most for her money since the rest of us will also have the meat options. If you have pics or can direct me to another thread with pics/reviews, that would be great! TIA! :goodvibes

I eat vegetarian at Teppan Edo and it works well with that, hence why I like it so much.

I'm not sure if you mean can you get something interesting in the noodles as well as the veggies. I haven't seen any other options. For appetizers, you can get vegetable tempura which is really delicious! Mmmm... this is my favorite restaurant in EPCOT.

When we went last year we had a vegetarian with us. She ordered to no meat option from the menu. They cooked her meal first (so it didnt touch the same areas as the other meat being cooked) and they loaded her up with veggies. She didnt have anything "different" from the food I had, but she had extra of the veggies!

I'm so glad to read this! I've read it once before, but I'm still so nervous about going there because I worry that the chef will cook my food where meat was cooking. Not only am I a vegetarian, but I have a protein intolerance. I just cannot digest my food if there is meat in it. But since I've read this more than once, I might give it a shot!

I am pretty certain they do not offer tofu. Extra noodles and veggies is probably the best bet.

I would let them know this when you ADR and again when you show up to eat. Disney is amazingly accommodating! (I am a vegetarian with a mushroom and milk allergy. Disney has made me some outstanding off the menu items!)

Thanks for the responses everyone! I just wanted to make sure my friend can get just as satisfying a meal as us non-vegetarians will! :thumbsup2

We weren't veggies yet, though we are now. This will give you an idea of what the cooking process is. I'm sure if you make it clear that you're a veggie that they'll take extra care to keep everything seperate, but as you can see, they flip the meat and serve the veggies with the same scooper...
