We will be in WDW in October for my birthday and I would love to eat somewhere special! We will not be on the DDP,and already have two TS meals planned for CG and Boma. I would love some suggestions for a really great meal (Not V&A) at a restaurant that will have some choices for us as my DH and I are both vegetarians. We will have a car, so we are able to travel easily to resorts...we will also be at POFQ, so the boat to DTD is also an option. I am so excited about this trip! Thanks. :thumbsup2

I recommend for vegetarians:

Sanaa at Kidani Village (my favorite)
Rose & Crown (great cheese platter)
Le Chefs de France

Two that I do NOT recommend:

Kouzzina (bland, nasty vegetarian food and terrible service)
Artist Point (used to be good but no more - terrible veggie dishes and mediocre service at best)

As a vegan, I'm also going to the World soon, a few days after my birthday. So I was also having to choose between some great choices. After spending hours reading great reviews, it was definitely a hard choice, but my official dinner will be Citricos; they have a great looking tofu dish and the restaurant looks very Florida.

Some other restaurants I have heard and signature dishes that I have heard great reviews are (and most I'll be going to):

The Wave-avocado/citrus salad, veggie stew/Cuban sandwich and sorbets
Kouzzina-made to order blueberry/orange pancakes and sweet potato hash
San Angel Inn-bean/veggie tacos
Chefs de France-request ratatouille and coconut sorbet (sad I can't fit this one in)

Hope this helps and have a GREAT birthday!! :woohoo:

I also forgot to add the stuffed pepper and dairy-free PB & J milkshake at 50's, they are supposed to be great!

I was going to suggest Cali Grill, but I see you're already going there!

Two other places that I think always have great veggie options are Sanaa and Jiko.

Jiko is a signature so it probably a better special occasion place, but Sanaa is quite amazing too. You couldn't go wrong with either one!

I would choose Jiko for my birthday dinner (wish I could be there for my own October birthday :))! I haven't tried Sanaa yet but it does get awesome reviews by vegetarians too.
