Ok, so I'm a veggie and I've seen that there are lots of good things to eat now at Disney for vegetarains. I don't do seafood of any sort. One question though, I also don't eat mushrooms so that leaves out a bunch of stuff. Can anyone recommend places to eat? BTW My DH LOVES Meat and Seafood so somewhere that has good "regular" food is also a +.

Thanks

I am a vegetarian and I have never had a problem at WDW. Each restaurant has always had plenty of veggie items for me to eat and if they didn't, they will make some. The buffets are good - great selection and the veggie burgers are awesome at WDW in my opinion. I really like the veggie burger & onion rings at Sci Fi. You can do a search above and read some reviews. Happy to help!

It's not a problem for a vegetarian to eat around WDW with an omnivore. DH (meat-eater) and I both liked the Boma buffet best on our trip last year. It's great for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. Review the menus linked at the top of the restaurants page and on allearsnet.com to find things you'll like.

Restaurants will do their best to accomodate you with the "no mushrooms" request. The only thing I remember eating at WDW that had mushrooms was the risotto at Raglan Road.

The no mushroom thing shouldn't be a problem. Just ask for whatever it is to be mushroom-less.

And don't limit yourself to what is on the menu. We had a veggie friend who, at the Prime Time Cafe, ordered the turkey sandwich without the turkey. When we explained to the server that our friend was a veggie, the server gave her lots of different options. In fact, she probably had more choices than we did!

Thanks.. I was just nervous because reading the menu's so many only had veggie items that were portobello mushroom based..

if your in Epcot and decide to try Rose and crown they have a vegetable selection which is vegetables wrapped in Phyllo it is AMAZING.

Really? I haven't noticed a plethora of portobellos (offhand, I can only think of the current vegetarian entree at Le Cellier, and the veggie dish there changes seasonally), but then I do eat mushrooms so it may not register in my brain. There are lots of vegetarian dishes at TS and CS restaurants that are already mushroom-free, and any that aren't can be changed to remove the offending fungi. :thumbsup2

I'm a veggie who doesn't like mushrooms, and I didn't have a problem for the whole week on the dining plan. I think I pulled mushrooms off of a CS sandwich once (easier than waiting to special order one, and they were big pieces). The only place w/o options was CRT, and that was before the menu change, so they should be fine now too. Have a great trip!
